Eric Metaxas’s bestselling book needs to be prominently displayed by every bookstore! It is shameful to hide the book because it emphasizes the Christian faith of the Founders.
Some Founding Fathers were even Lutheran!
Eric Metaxas left the Orthodox Church, in his words (paraphrased) “it was always the same and I wasn’t being fed”.
His book is good but not great.
Yes, I am a partisan Pennsylvanian; and, as such I am dumbstruck at how anyone could write a history (or make a film) on the American Revolution without any mention of the Pennsylvania rifle aka “the widowmaker” which leveled the playing field for the patriots.
And how can one omit any mention of York to which the Second Continental Congress was exiled for nine months, during which time the first Thanksgiving proclamation was issued and the Article of Confederation were prepared?
