New guidelines have been released advising broadcasters on how to use more respectful camera angles when covering live female athletics events.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has worked with female athletes to develop the guidelines, which aims to avoid sexualising the action with unnecessary camera angles.

“Camera angles? A serious discussion would start with the way female athletes dress.”
My thought exactly. Who decides on the uniforms?
The ugly ones can’t stand it.
The trannies can’t stand it.
It’s always the extra leg that gets a man into trouble.
Really. No one watches for any other reason.
Focus on those butts!
He looks like Benny Hill
Remember the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cups will be EBU coverage on Obamavision (Netflix). I told Will Cain that and none of them had read the news.

Ahhhhahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Absolutely classic! We fall into it like automatons!
Think of Zombies, unseeing, unthinking, muttering "Braaaaaaaiiiiiinnnnssss."
"Girrrrrrrrrrrllllls wiiiiiitttth Guuuuuuunssss."
Heh, I go to various pages and see things put there just to make men click on them with titles like "You won't believe what happens next..." and such, and I have to steel myself not to take the bait!
That’s some glut shooting right there!
Hahahahaha, he is trying to look anywhere but where his brain is commanding him to look!
I used to work with a very attractive woman, and at work, I was all business, but she was very attractive and well put together, and I found myself anytime I had to talk to her looking...anywhere. Thoughtfully at the ceiling, pointlessly at my shoes, whatever.
And she had this unnerving habit when talking to me of grabbing the lapel of her open lab coat and pulling it across her chest as she spoke, a seemingly reflexive moment meant to cover her chest from prying eyes, even as I found myself looking at the ceiling!
I always wondered for a split second if I had been looking at her chest, but I am pretty sure I was always averting my eyes. I also wondered if she was simply picking up on me averting my eyes, and went into cover up mode just in case I got weak, as if in avoiding the transgression, I was sending signals in some way that if I let my guard down, I might be expected to look, and it was triggering her defenses!
I am a happily married man, but...I am a man. When my wife and I are walking hand in hand and a pretty girl passes us, I deliberately avert my eyes out of respect for my wife. Then I feel her squeeze my hand, and I ask innocently “Whaaat?”
She often says “Boy, you really are getting old if you didn’t see that one...”
When I protest, she says “I married you. I didn’t scratch your eyes out. But if you ever do anything more than look...”
I always thought that too!
So what are the cameras going to show? The action from the neck up only? Crazy.
Probably because they know a man drew it.
Probably because they know a man drew it.
If women don’t want to feel sexualized, then maybe they shouldn’t compete half naked. Beach volleyball and track and field come to mind. The men dress in much less revealing outfits than the women and it doesn’t seem to affect their performance. BVB players almost compete naked. They seem to wear the least the IOC will allow them to get by with.
“Put them all in burkas and be done with it.”
We are unfortunately well on the way...
perhaps burkas are a solution
