I'm sorry, but I am in the camp of those vehemently opposed to data centers. They are bad for the environment, they use up and destroy the water supply, they are bad the health of anyone in close proximity. Closed loop systems still contaminate the water supply. That's what's happening out in Cheyenne, Wyoming now.

So no, the US already has over 4500 data centers now, more than any other country on the face of the planet. If the world wants more data centers, build them somewhere else, any place but here.

Serious question, because the same debate is happening in my state and there are considerations of proposing laws to ban them.

But, I don’t want to agree with something based on false internet rumor about how horrific they are - if in fact they are not.

Now at the same time, China is building Data Centers as fast as they can, already building over 500 new ones in 2023 and 2024, with over 1000 more in the pipeline.

So, now if Data Centers aren’t available in the U.S., where do you think your data, you know, your banking info, your medical info, your naughty selfies, etc., is going to migrate to?

Remember there is no such thing as ‘the Cloud’. It’s just someone else’s computer.
