“Question is: does all this add up to a winning party platform? “
In the blue part of Ohio, as far as I can tell, yes.

Here in Central Kentucky, I have friends I’ve known from grade school through college who go to lunch together every week. I could ask them the following questions, and they would answer “No” to all of them, but they’ll still turn around and vote Democrat:
Should it be legal to kill someone who is in your way, a way that you yourself have chosen?
Should people in the country illegally be allowed to vote?
Should people in the country illegally receive welfare, food stamps, and other taxpayer assistance?
Should people in the country illegally be issued valid driver’s licenses?
Should people in the country illegally be issued commercial driver’s licenses?
Should it should be legal for a parent to have their child’s genitals modified via surgery?
Should males be allowed to compete in female sporting events?
Should there be a maximum wealth?
Should companies be made to give all profits to the government?
Should the minimum wage be $50/hr. or higher?
Should landlords be prohibited from raising their rent?
Feel free to add to my list.
Great idea for the New York Times or the Atlantic magazine - just incase their 'news packets' from DNC war rooms were light this week... lol
