Now they turn on Nazi-tattooed alleged rapist Graham Platner?
After all these months of defending him and making excuses — knowing full well what a repugnant dirtbag he is?
Let’s be honest: At this late date, the accusation that Platner raped an ex-girlfriend should shock absolutely no one. And that it took so long for Dems to cut him off speaks volumes.
Indeed, the only reason they’re deserting him now is not that they’ve finally grown a moral spine; it’s that they fear his grotesque character won’t fly with normal voters.
Not only would a continued Platner campaign for Maine’s US Senate seat almost certainly fail; voters nationwide may now realize that Democrats are morally bankrupt — that they stand for nothing, except the acquisition of raw political power by any means.
Heck, it’s not even clear the rape allegation was the reason for Dems’ switch — rather than the excuse for it.
After all, polls had recently tightened, with both Platner and his GOP rival, Sen. Susan Collins, virtually tied.
And Platner, one recent poll showed, was trailing Collins by a whopping 21 points among the very people he pretends to champion: working folks, specifically those who lack four-year college degrees.
Yet, until the rape allegation, Dems lined up squarely by him.
He’s “my kind of man,” gushed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.).

This is a *first amendment” issue. He can say whatever he wants.
Platner will remain the face of the ME voters: to ill-informed to understand their plight.
“Will he be given a chance to defend himself, have access to a fair, impartial process and legal counsel, and allowed to confront his accusers, etc.?”
At this point, it appears that the situation is not a legal issue, but internal-RAT thing. Apparently, the time has passed for rape Statute Of Limitations to apply.
I suppose the girls can sue for damages in Civil Court. That skank E. Jean Carroll sued Trump and won. She said it happened decades ago.
Every Republican nationwide was portrayed as being Todd Akin in that election year - Elizabeth Warren herself ran on that issue against Scott Brown.
But the Democrats have the press on their side - they will never treat the Democrats they way they did the Republicans.
Just keep posting that to every Platner thread.
