In Isaac Asimov’s robot stories, the robots’ names all began with “R”. “R. John Doe”, for example. “R” was short for Robot. There was a certain honesty in that fiction which our present real-world day lacks.

Yep. Every time I read about the New New Thing in AI I want to re-read all the ‘old stories’ they’re using as handbooks!

We’ve had our ‘1984’ already - and really nothing new under the Sun has been written in decades.

It’s yet another retread...that we will neither heed nor fear...until it’s too late.
