In avengers Chinese releases the entire team was lead by Chinese masterminds in a high tech lab. Mission impossible and avengers age of Ultron have credit to two Chinese women who were really in it for one scene in America, but were lead roles in the Chinese version.


Realize that “Red Dawn” was one of the first “Pro-China” movies in the 80s, where they mention that China was on our side against the Russians.

I do recall in the late 70s/early 80s there was some thinking in the foreign policy world we could use China as a leverage against the ruskies.

That didn't turn out so well as we've seen.
