When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.

Helps a lot, but I have to walk her through it a little bit because she’s gone into “panic second job” mode and with that will come depression because that’s the pattern.

I just really wish that when they unveil a new plan, they would get all the parts up to speed. As far as I know, her loan is still through the government, and she was on the SAVE plan. I mean, it came from the top, so if the big guy offers you something less costly, you take it.

Sadly, these student loans don’t follow ANY standard practices and the rules change at the whim of each administration.

I ran the calculator on StudentAid site for her also - loan amount is a small question mark though I have a ballpark number. It’s not huge. Anyway, the calculator comes up with a much smaller acceptable payment based on discretionary income, defined as gross income minus cost of living based on 1.5X poverty rate. Anyway, she saw similar numbers to what I saw there, so data entry wasn’t the issue. And I doubled the borrowed amount and the payment.... didn’t change. I increased the income though, and the payment amount rose also. So it’s clearly based on an income-based plan. But is it based on the newest rules or did the web site not update the calculator yet.

And if the calculator is correct, then her login information is screwed up, possibly not updated. She needs to talk with someone there most likely, since being a government program, it’s not going to work right. I will nudge her in that direction. I mean, I’m on the outside looking in and I can clearly see that there’s a huge discrepancy. She is on some chat/discussion groups with other students with outstanding loans and there’s a lot of panic. This isn’t being rolled out very smoothly.

I have a comment about the last half of the fireworks show in DC last night. Confession, I didn’t see the first half, so I may be speaking out of turn and incorrect. If that’s the case, just ignore me.

Was it just me, or did others think that the music for the fireworks presentation was less than it should have been for a 250-year celebration. I heard no patriotic songs as I was expecting (a la PC’s list and others), and was put off by the less than stellar un-motivating rock songs the military band was playing and singing (they did a good job on the performance, such as it was.) There were some forward-looking songs (Don’t Stop Believing) which may have been the point, as The Best is Yet to Come, but... I was disappointed.

I enjoyed the fireworks once I turned down the audio. IMHO, the greatest fireworks show in history, in the greatest nation on earth should have been accompanied by the greatest patriotic music in the world.

The “black woman with white supremacist ‘thugs’” image appeared on Facebook, followed by an enormous number of people stating that apparently, that southern poverty gang was still at work, while others noted that the black woman was a heck of a lot safer on that train than Iryna Zarutska was on a commuter train in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Myself, I think the entire scene was staged. Both she and the fake white supremacists were actors hired by the left to give the impression that this is what Trump supporters look like.

Any normal people on that train might have started yanking masks off the so-called “thugs” so the we could all see who they really were.
