My mom can’t install Windows 11 without a new computer. Not gonna happen. It’s an unnecessary expense in both money and time just to keep using the same games and programs she’s using now.

I took the dive last year thinking it would be easy to convert the drive from MBR, install on a nice new gaming rig and then upgrade to Windows 11 on the new computer. While eventually successful, it was a nightmare of pain guided by AI, which I suspect was on drugs at the time.

I have been running Window 11 on an unsupported Dell computer for more than a year. No problems. Updates just fine.

Download the Windows 11 ISO and burn it with Rufus to a USB flash drive to bypass Windows 11 hardware requirements.

You can get a Windows 11 Pro license for $15.99. I have bought a number of licenses from this vendor.

They have instructions for installing it. Just create the USB with Rufus.
