A mistrial was declared in the Pacific Palisades arson case after a jury deadlocked.
Prosecutors said they will retry the case.
Last October, federal prosecutors announced that 29-year-old Jonathan Rinderknecht of Orlando, Florida, was arrested for intentionally setting the Palisades fire.
Rinderknecht was an Uber driver at the time he intentionally set the fire.
Federal prosecutors said Rinderknecht intentionally set the fire in January 2025 which left 12 people dead and caused more than $150 billion in damage.

On Friday, a judge declared a mistrial after the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict.
"The split wasn't close: 10 jurors voted to acquit Jonathan Rinderknecht, while two voted to convict," Fox News reported.

GET A JURY OF 12 WHO LOST THEIR HOMES...
They’d have to be selected for the jury, and would probably be excluded.
They want to build a low income housing building near our house, we got a letter today asking for everyone in the city to vote to approve it, ABSOLUTELY NOT..I think in the Palisades, the ones who will be buying the land will be investors
It will just be another mistrial................
Victims of a crime aren’t allowed on juries.
The Palasides neighborhood is now cleared of white (rich) private homes. And has long been targetted for Olympics Village “housing” and subsequently thousands of apartments. To be doled out by the LA politicians as they see fit for fun and profits.
EXACTLY..My cousin lives there he says it will never be the same again, NO ONE is rebuilding, everyone is pretty much just trying to sell their land to anyone who wants it and will be moving on its sad it was such a beautiful area
When I worked for the Forest Service, I saw more than one time that a buried log from winter slash burning would smoke up during the summer, sometimes over 6 months after the original burn.
Thats what I have been saying since the day after the fire happened..Bass wanted clean hands which is why she left to Ghana in the first place..its why she placed the blame on her fire chief Kristen Crowley even though she warned Bass repeatedly NOT to cut funding to the fire dept and that a major wind event will be occurring, but Bass left anyway, so she can say “Well I wasnt here” she knew, NewSCUM knew, they all picked the perfect target, a white rich neighborhood that most in LA could care less if it burned down, the Mamdani voter types who say “Eat the rich”
Cut off the oxygen and insulate and weird things can happen.
Or makes one think about the quality of the jurors. As in many cases.
OJ Simpson juror dismissed during the trial for an alternate to replace her said after three days of detailed teaching in court about the meaning of the extreme rarity of OJ’s dna versus a hypothetical mystery killer, “They didn’t show me nothin’. Lots of people are walking around with the same blood type.”
What the jurors are pissed about is that the entire fire spun out of control because of government, not this kid.
