The problem with states with a Republican supermajority is the party has several factions, some of which are moderate Democrats who run as Republicans and pretend to be conservative during the campaign.

The very best thing you can say about Thune is that he still thinks it’s 1955.

I guess. I just think he is compromised. Also, if he passes the Save America Act, then he will not have any excuse for passing other legislature. Additionally, this act will all but guarantee the addition of more republican senators making it much harder to get a few idiots (Murkowski, et al) from gumming up the works.
