Several months before blue strips started floating to the surface of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, a company involved in its last renovation more than 15 years ago was approached with an opportunity to do this remodel as well. But the company said no.
Specifically, it balked at two requirements – the Trump administration wanted it done by July 4, and the pool bottom had to be blue, according to two employees with the New Jersey-based Sika Corporation, which provided the concrete construction and sealing products for a 2010 renovation project to the Reflecting Pool.

When I see that many authors I just know the article is full of gammon.
That has to be an English idiom... pork?
That is one of its meanings and the most common. It can also mean talk intended to deceive. I use it to mean nonsense of the non silly sort. You know, whatever happens to come out of CNN’s inkwell.

Ya think....Would like to see his political donations...
Just fill it in and plant flowers.
You don’t have to pick the low bidder. “Best value”. But once again, they talked to more than one potential contractor. So the story from a few days ago was BS.
CNN has no articles on the 400 people arrested for Medicaid fraud this week but 100 articles about the reflecting pool.
Still no reporting by the Alphabet drive-by press on the fresh Fauci/Wuhan revelations...
