Caitlin Clark has been urged to leave the WNBA behind after she was the victim of another sickening act of on-court violence.
The Indiana Fever superstar, who has transformed the fortunes of the WNBA since entering the league in 2024, appeared to be punched in the throat by Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury.
It is the latest example of Clark falling victim to rough treatment from rivals, which also marred her rookie season in 2024.
But the WNBA continues to overlook the physicality imposed on Clark and referees didn't even bother to call a foul for the incident involving Thomas.
That has prompted Boomer Esiason, the 1988 NFL MVP who now works as a New York sports radio host, to tell Clark to quit the WNBA for good.
He said on Thursday morning: 'If I were Caitlin Clark, I would seriously consider going to play overseas somewhere and get the royal treatment and get real money.

watched the video… no punch no foul.
I watched it on You Tube and it looked intentional to me.
Lilly-white neck? That’s an odd turn of the phrase.
Did you just accidentally tip your hand?
**********
Oddly enough, I think you may be correct.
Looks that way to me, too. She had already retracted her left hand and decided to give a fist to the neck with the right hand. Anytime I have tripped and fallen, I do it with my hands outreached, not on my knuckles...
Amen. But that is okay with them. It is okay to kill, maim, murder, beat up, rob, white people. We deserve it. I am not a racist man, but I am certainly getting sick and tired of this crap. Stay armed. Arm your family. Teach them how to use it and defend themselves. My wife had never touched a weapon until we got married. Now she goes everywhere with her 38 in her purse.
Kodacolor or Ektachrome?
I used to have that attribute, but life taught me differently.
I wasn’t a racist, until they started calling me one.
She should fight back. Should have knocked the crap out of the other girl. Foul out every game. It doesn’t matter. Take her paycheck, invest it good, and live life. When this over move on.
She needs an enforcer, like they have in hockey.
Clark’s teammates aren’t helping her. Shame on them.
The coach isn’t helping her. Shame on them.
The general manager isn’t helping her. Shame on them.
The team owner isn’t helping her. Shame on them.
The league commissioner isn’t helping her. Shame on them.
She's too woke to realize it.
Have your sports agent, or hire an appropriately connected one, to publicly explore playing in Europe or elsewhere.
Concurrently, also explore your endorsement options if playing elsewhere.
Make sure it is in the news, so maybe the WNBA will protect the one player the US women’s basketball fans actually will pay to watch live or will tune in to if the game is on TV.
Yeah. I was born in Alabama. I lived through the 1950s-60s before going into the Army in 1970. I never felt hate towards black folks. We lived next to a grocery store, and two of the guys who worked there were black gentlemen in their 50s. Both good guys. I was friends with them. Went to the store feedroom where they were working with different feeds for cattle and hogs, etc. Talked with them all the time. I was a little kid. I did not really have problems with black until the army and ran into blacks from Philly and NYC. Now that was a different person than I was used to. But, as the years went along, after Nam, things settled, and we did not have as many racial problems. By the time I retired in 1992, I did not see that as a problem. But now in later life, I see this crap going on, and it has jaded me a bit. But I do not hate black people. We have blacks in our church, and I am great friends with them. When you are a Christian, a true believer in Jesus Christ, you get along easily. It is just in you.
My wife tells me that I am actually a misanthrope that reserves the right to pick whomever I wish as a friend.
Huh? For making an observation?
Kiss my Lilly-white arse.
Cloud
Then, no film.
