Such a waste of time.....and I’m sure they are very well paid and that there’s some kind of grant type money involved.

Maybe not-the research being done is in Spain-not famous for coughing up money themselves-the Max Planque Institute-in Leipzig, Germany-is the research organization doing/sponsoring the work. Any grant money that the project may have is coming from the EUweenies-not us-no need to be concerned about waste...

Archaeologists-at least in the US-are not “very well paid”-when doing research or not-they can make extra money teaching during the off season, but that is not always available-they are just middle class people. My cousin was married to one for 51 years-she is a 3d grade teacher. He died from cancer several years ago, leaving no fortune...

I don’t think archaeological research is a waste of time-many of us are interested in where we came from, who we are, how we got there, etc-it is a science that actually does something useful-not climate change bulls***...
