Team Algae and Filth has been busy at work, supported by CNN, ABC and various leftist media, in an attempt to grow algae back in the DC reflection pool, and cut out the newly installed lining. A few arrests have been made by DC park police.
Yes, these folks are that unstable. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
President Trump responds to the effort via Truth Social:
“We’ve cleaned, renovated, and beautified over 45 Monuments and Memorials, 28 Statues, and 22 Fountains in Washington, D.C. Things are really looking good in our Nation’s Capital, and add to that the fact that when I became President, Crime was rampant, and now, Washington, D.C., is one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the United States. However, we’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool, which sits between The Washington Monument and The Lincoln Memorial.
Just like three days ago, they destroyed the grass outside of the Pool, they’ve also done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed. No different than the chemicals that were used on the National Mall, they used something similar in the Reflecting Pool to try to destroy and demean our beautiful work. Lightweight ABC Reporter, Jonathan Karl, was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface. The algae is 75% gone, and the condition will soon be completely remedied, and the area that was vandalized, fortunately, is just a small area of damage, and will be fixed early next week. It’s a shame that the Radical Left Lunatics, most likely Dumocats, who have spent their lives trying to ruin our Country, are free to do so. Law Enforcement is actively investigating this situation and will hopefully have it resolved soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

It takes a special kind of stupid to actually go out in public like that, let alone to have an ideology that actually cheers for pond scum.
They have been slicing it with knives then ripping it up. This is before the coating has fully cured.
The pond is a huge standing body of water.
Lining it with dark blue plastic exacerbated the problem both by heating it further and by not allowing seepage.
This was a rushed job with an unqualified contractor. Fixing it will take a multiple of the millions spent on installing the lining.
Unlike the removal of President Trump’s name for thee Kennedy Center, this will be a very public and prolonged process.
You can see patches of plastic that have floated to the surface.
Vandals have been cutting the material then trying to pull it up. That’s why some pieces have come up. There have been at least 2 arrests so far, and the pieces have only been at the edge.

Looks like part of the probem described above will be solved pretty easily then. Still, I did listen to Trump in the cabinet meeting the other day describing how his contractors built very high quality and guaranteed swimming pools at his properties with no failures for many years. Odd they left out chlorination and filtration in their plans.
That POS Femalere news show host, with the unwashed hair and buggy eyes, on CNN bragged that the lining was chipping away, mocking Trump’s 14 million dollar renovation. She failed to state that this was due to people purposely defacing the pool. Also, wasn’t the original renovation, proposed under Biden going to cost 250 million and take years to complete?
THE MEDIA PEOPLE IN TRUMP’S ORGANIZATION ARE CRAP. THEY SHOULD BE DISPELLING AND FACT CHECKING THE LIES TOLD IN REAL TIME.
We need to keep getting that message out.
The pool is lined with truck bed liner. It’s extremely strong. Unless it’s vandalized by scum.
I think that’s most likely what they did. One 50 lb bag of fertilizer is enough to cause a big algae bloom in a 5 acre pond.

I agree. There are two excellent DC reporters covering the story. That's how I know details about the situation. One is an independent reporter and the other is an independent photojournalist credentialed to cover the White House.
