New York City was a picture of pandemonium on Saturday night as the Knicks' NBA Championship celebrations descended into bloody violence and a teenager was shot.
Across the city, riot police were deployed to quell the madness and videos showed the party turning ugly in Times Square as fans literally ripped apart a school bus while the driver begged them to stop.
At around 2am, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the left foot at 42nd St and Broadway, according to details from the NYPD. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in a stable condition.
In Brooklyn, meanwhile, a 44-year-old man was fatally shot and killed near Prospect Park at 11:40pm - just minutes after the Knicks had won - but it is unclear if that was related to the Knicks' celebrations.
Officers responded to a 911 call outside 101 Lincoln Road, where they found Emanuel Spencer with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made.
In Midtown Manhattan, meanwhile, videos showed cops fighting with revelers as thousands of the Big Apple's raucous citizens invaded the streets to celebrate the Knicks' first NBA Championship in 53 years.

I didn’t even know there was a game.
And I played D1 basketball in college.
I doubt it.
I bet you’ll be watching the soccer games.
And I read that they were supposed to play in Texas, what happened to that?
They could care less about the Knicks , it’s just a chance to DESTROY
I attended a few Trump rallies myself. None were held in a city.
I went to show my support. Stayed for the country music.
No problems, of course.
By the way, there was a small (very small) Democrat counter-demonstration across the street from one rally. Everyone was nice, them and us. I even had a polite non-political conversation with one of the D guys.
This validates one of my rules: Don’t go anywhere on a bus line.
And there was no bus line there. So all went well.
Gotta be pretty bad when you get fatally shot, and then killed.
The NBA lost me years ago...
I tend to agree. When I was still in my teens I took a Greyhound from Florida to LA (don't ask). Bus stops were generally in the most grungy parts of towns, and at each major station stop they would sweep out the bus under the seats - almost always finding bottles of whiskey etc.

A Greyhound bus story:
A friend of mine loves to travel Greyhound, just for the adventure. No one ever bothers him. And here’s why.
He takes a 5-inch piece of rope with him. Once he gets on the bus, he puts the rope in his teeth such that 3 inches are hanging out. That makes him look unstable, and perhaps dangerously so. So everyone leaves him alone.
He’s a good guy. But also a bit weird.
Was shot or shot himself? How does one get shot in the foot? He shoots himself.
Sounds like an effective strategy!
To me, basketball loses it’s appeal after college basketball...

This is why I am glad I live in Buffalo. This does NOT happen here...
Strange that Fox and Friends - Weekend Edition didn’t mention any of this riot or the bus being ripped apart. They just acted like everything was normal with people celebrating the Knicks win.
I always wondered why the left doesn’t complain about a lack of diversity of the NBA or even the WNBA for that matter.
