I attended a few Trump rallies myself. None were held in a city.
I went to show my support. Stayed for the country music.
No problems, of course.
By the way, there was a small (very small) Democrat counter-demonstration across the street from one rally. Everyone was nice, them and us. I even had a polite non-political conversation with one of the D guys.
This validates one of my rules: Don’t go anywhere on a bus line.
And there was no bus line there. So all went well.
I tend to agree. When I was still in my teens I took a Greyhound from Florida to LA (don't ask). Bus stops were generally in the most grungy parts of towns, and at each major station stop they would sweep out the bus under the seats - almost always finding bottles of whiskey etc.
Sounds like you had a good experience. I don’t think many people realize what an exhausting day it is to attend a Trump rally. Waiting in a line for hours until the gates open, getting through security, standing in the food line and cheering through the show. It’s a long day.
The two best rallies I attended were at the North Charleston Convention center which had inside seating. The most fun but exhausting one was at fair grounds in Perry GA. Hot day, no seating. Great crowd energy. Met two girls from Fla. The rally at Florence SC was a shear act of determination to give Trump a big attendance figure. It was freezing cold and the wind was blowing.
