There’s a real market out there for dumb or vintage appliances. Same with cars. I will start a business next year.

I think there is an opportunity to make replacement uP controllers for all of this stuff.

I researched to find a used car that had a great record for durability without technology or schemes making problems irreparable. 26-year old Toyota Camry, full package but everything still works. Only 21 mpg but that's a trade-off I can live with, as I rarely go anywhere.

I HATED buying non-American but what can you do after generations of planned obsolescence?

Your fortune would rival Elon’s in a few years.

I've been thinking along the same lines. But, rather than do everything from scratch, just put a layer on top of already-existing businesses that pulls them together. For example, the auto mechanic, the upholsterer and the body shop.

A good use for these new high-end AI systems might be to pull together mechanics' manuals for integration into a central, curated web site.

And, tie into Jasper for rebuilt engines and transmissions. So, the new one-stop-restoration organization becomes an orchestrator.

Also, makes me think about offering "security enhancement" services, which might include, not just alarm installation, but bullet-resistent door panel installation. So, the "orchestration company" would almost certainly need its own physical facility.

Around here in rural, NW TN I even have the people resources.

Look up Ursa AG. The sell new computer-less farm tractors with rebuilt Cummins engines from the 1990’s to bypass tier 4 emission standards. Apparently, they can’t build them fast enough for demand. There is a market!
