Sounds like the arrestee was not attending the ceremony but thought, perhaps, they could avoid arrest.

Last time something like this happened, the criminal illegal alien, when being chased by ICE, ran into a school where he was not a student or a faculty member and the media, the school and anti-ICE advocates tried to make it look like ICE was targeting the school and it’s students.

Yeah - when it comes to making criminals pay for their crimes - optics is what we should worry about....the optics are, break the law, run from the law, pay the price

Perhaps reading the story might relieve you of your ignorant comment.

ICE was in pursuit and the criminal illegals drove onto school property where they were caught and arrested.

1. ICE had no idea there was a ceremony going on.

2. Driving onto a school parking lot when being pursued is not a get out of deportation free card.

3. Arresting and deporting illegals is exactly the optics I voted for.

Who cares about optics? The lawbreakers should understand that they can be rounded up and deported anywhere and at any time.
