I feel exactly the same way about “A Clockwork Orange”.
Have you noticed that just about every film Kubrick did was about corruption in elite circles, running from Paths of Glory through Eyes Wide Shut? That last one may have cost him his life. Had he lived, imagine what AI would have ended. Certainly not with Spielberg’s dreamy ending.
