U.S. — The nation was thrown into a state of shock on Tuesday afternoon, as a jury in Texas ruled that you can't just stab someone in the heart for no reason at all.
The case of one person taking a knife out of their bag to stab another person in the heart for no reason at all had legal experts and the public all scratching their heads, wondering what the legal outcome might be. The members of the jury in the Collin County District courtroom rocked the nation after it came out to announce their verdict that stabbing someone in the heart for no reason at all is "bad" and what some might call "murder."
Amazingly, the jury went on to read out a guilty verdict to the accused heart-stabber on the charge of first-degree murder.
"Honestly, we didn't know which way this case would go," said criminal defense attorney Anthony Pitaki. "With today's activist judges, you can do all sorts of violent things in America and get away with it normally. This was a surprising outcome."
"This court case is a real wake-up call to the people carrying knives in this country with the expectation that they can stab anyone they choose in the heart for no reason at all and get zero consequences."
At publishing time, the nation wondered if not being able to stab someone in the heart for no reason at all might set a precedent for criminalizing other acts of violence.

Served on a jury that gave a guy 40 years. After the trial the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney came in to brief us. We were shocked to find out that with parole laws, credit for “good behavior” and credit for time served, the guy would be back on the streets while in a little over 3 years.
All the 40 year sentence accomplished was to make him the responsibility of the department of corrections for the next 40 years. Which means they don’t need a trial to put him back in prison but realistically it also means TDC can keep him out on the streets because another trial isn’t forcing him back in.
Official statistics are garbage because there are lots of ways to put prisoners back on the streets while they are still officially “in prison “.
Not only that, judges simply let criminals go all the time.
I was on a jury that gave a guy 15 years.
Occasionally I would check the DOC website to see if he was still incarcerated.
He did every day of it......of course this is Florida where common sense is still the order of the day.
Obviously this bias against recreational stabbing is aimed at repressing minorities who often participate in stabbing for sport and physical fitness purposes. This verdict is targeted at the cultural practices of these oppressed groups.
