Graham Platner will interesting to watch over summer before November’s elections, supposedly the dirt yet to be released is far worse than what we currently know
Good citizens of the Palmetto State, dump that NEOCON, Warmonger, RINO Lindsay Graham today for the sake of the nation!
I am working as an election clerk this morning in Ellsworth, Maine. I think voter turnout will be higher than usual. The race for the nomination for governor has a good number of candidates in both parties.
Of interest will be the Democratic Primary. About ten days ago, Shah was leading the other candidates. Then a few days ago the lead switched to Hannah Pingree, daughter of CD-1 Congresswoman Pingree. With rank=choice voting, who the actual nominee will be is uncertain. Governor Janet Mills gave a strong endorsement to Pingree-her ad was very effective. The best news is that the Secretary of State, Bellows is in fourth or fifth place and will NOT be Maine’s next governor. She tried to keep President Trump off the June 2024 primary and prevented a vote on keeping men out of women’s bathrooms and sports from getting on the ballot. Good bye Bellows!
Ditto. However, I see where Pres Trump has strongly endorsed his great friend Lindsey Graham. I just don’t get it.
So how much cheating will the. Dems do here?
I feel your pain but once again his opponent Lynch is pretty sketchy. He’s potentially another anti MAGA RINO.
Two reasons:
Trump and Graham are golfing buddies.
Graham is one of Trump's greatest sycophants and Trump is a sucker for that.
“Good citizens of the Palmetto State, dump that NEOCON, Warmonger, RINO Lindsay Graham today for the sake of the nation!”
I second that!
Any information on who to vote for? MAGA candidates in the states?
So is Graham a friend or for this cycle?
Election update Maine: I worked as an election clerk in Ellsworth, Maine this morning. With contested primaries for governor in both parties, voter turnout was above average-in fact a line when the polls opened at 8 am and steady traffic through to 1:30 pm when I was relieved.
Counting absentee ballots: the polls close at 7 pm EST. All absentee ballots must be received by that time at the city clerk’s office. One of the city employees then make a final run of absentee ballots to each of the city’s wards. We received batches through out the morning. One Democratic and one Republican open each envelop and check the ballot with our voter rolls. Once verified the ballots are run through the scanner (my job today).
Who can vote in a primary election: voters in Maine can fall into one of five categories: Republican, Democrat, Green, Libertarin, or unenrolled. Republican can only vote in the Republican Primary, Democrats can only vote in the Democrat Party. Green and Libertarians had no candidates running so they did not receive a ballot. Unenrolled voters can request either a Republican ballot or a Democrat ballot but not both. One can switch party affliations but to get a ballot you must switch at least 15 days before the election.
I had to deal with one Karen-a Green who wanted a Democrat ballot and thought she could change affiliations on election day. Too bad so sad, she could not! She became quite upset I told her we were following state law.
In SC, Lindsey Graham is once again winning the majority of the vote.

Democrats are getting the most votes in the race for SC governor.

Polls closed at 8 p.m. ET in Maine, where voters are choosing nominees for governor, the Senate and the House in a primary that has gotten significant national attention.
Maine uses ranked choice voting, which means some winners may not be known until the state tabulates second-choice votes and more after Election Day.
All eyes are on the Democratic Senate primary, in which oyster farmer and military veteran Graham Platner enters primary day as the Democratic front-runner despite a series of controversies and heavy scrutiny. The winner will face Republican Sen. Susan Collins in the general election.
Term limits have created an open race for governor, with crowded primaries for both of the parties. And an open congressional district in northern Maine is among the most important on the ballot, too.

🚨 NOW: Trump-endorsed Pamela Evette ADVANCES in the South Carolina governor primary, headed to a runoff vs Alan Wilson
Evette intends to SLASH property taxes and ELIMINATE the income tax
TRUMP RECENTLY: “She was the only South Carolina Gubernatorial Candidate to Endorse me as soon as I launched my 2024 Presidential Campaign.”
“A BIG added plus for Pam is that, I hear, Henry McMaster, Jr., the brilliant and very competent son of Henry and Peggy, will be running with her as the next Lieutenant Governor.”
Billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer’s bid for governor of California is the second time he’s spent more than nine figures in an unsuccessful attempt to win public office.
NBC News projected tonight that former conservative commentator Steve Hilton advanced to the general election for governor, joining former Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra. That meant Steyer is out, unable to push into the top two spots in the all-party primary.
Steyer spent more than $215 million of his own money on his campaign, according to the latest campaign finance reports published by the state. That money has helped Steyer flood the airwaves with a staggering $209 million in ad spending, according to ad-tracking firm AdImpact.
To put that spending in context, that’s about two-thirds of all ad-spending in the entire gubernatorial race, including dozens of candidates and outside groups. Becerra, the candidate who’s spent the second most on ads, spent $11.7 million, per AdImpact.
James Clyburn wins Democratic primary in South Carolina’s 6th Congressional District
By Carly Ortiz-Lytle
Longtime representative James Clyburn has secure victory in the S.C. 6th CD primary district, the Associated Press projected.
The Democrat stalwart has been in Congress since 1993 and was part of House Democrat leadership for decades.

GOP Reps. Ken Calvert and Young Kim will move on to the general election in the Riverside-area 40th Congressional District, NBC News projects, extending a brutal member-on-member clash brought about by redistricting.
