How could this have happened? Boarding passes are scanned and confirmed before one is allowed to proceed through TSA and the individual gate.
I wonder if the fake boarding pass didn’t “scan” as usual and the screening agent couldn’t be bothered to check further at that particular moment? Maybe just assumed it was a printing glitch such as unreadable bar code? Not excusing but pondering..
Lately I’ve only seen them scan the boarding pass at the gate. ID only at TSA security checkpoint.
