The remaining three correspondents at “60 Minutes” huddled this week to discuss their futures following the firing of Scott Pelley, according to a report, as former star Steve Kroft warned that the iconic newsmagazine “no longer exists” in the form viewers have known for decades.
Bill Whitaker, Lesley Stahl and Jon Wertheim met on Wednesday for more than an hour amid growing turmoil at CBS News following Pelley’s ouster and the sweeping shakeup orchestrated by CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, the Status newsletter reported on Thursday.
The meeting came just hours after The Post reported that CBS insiders believed Whitaker and Stahl could be the next high-profile departures from the program.
“I think Bill is next,” one source close to the network told The Post.
“Lesley is keeping quiet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she left,” the source added.
Another insider told The Post: “Lesley and Bill will be behind him,” referring to Pelley.
Kroft, who recently told podcaster Bill O’Reilly that he “hated” working at “60 Minutes” due to its lack of “civility” and it being a “snake pit,” also questioned whether the program would be able to maintain its identity when it returns in the fall.

My Mom watched it every week. We had 1 TV. She had the majority vote. I didn’t own a TV in college and certainly was never tempted to watch 60 Minutes after I got one 12 years later.
Not trying to one up you but I once saw a similar scenario as a fairly new employee in the DoD.
Unbeknownst to me at the time, the black lead manager in my building was under investigation for questionable behavior in regards to subordinate White females.
Off color comments and suggestive Christmas cards is what I heard later.
An addition to our building was just completed in support of the Navy F-18 Strikefighter.
All personnel were in attendance as the commanding officer of our facility came down for the cake cutting and took the opportunity to present the manager under investigation with a civilian award and congratulated him on his impending retirement, to which the manager said “I’m not retiring”.
He was gone the next week.
The cards were what did him in.
That A-hole was a racist tyrant that used his position to promote blacks while holding non blacks back and antagonizing White employees.
He got exactly what he deserved IMO.

Not that they are a new beacon of support for the right, but when you can go full left and then someone says, not so much, they throw a fit.
CBS and 60 Minutes has been leftist trash for decades and to try to implement any change will be fought furiously.

If they hired Gutfeld they would gain viewership and lose the propaganda. There is nothing honest about 60 minuets.. Dan Rather completely blew it on the George Bush national guard documents and lost all relevance. I quite watching.

That was NBC. The other 60 Minutes fraud was the Bush NG memos. They’ve all done it one time or another. ABC sent saboteurs into a Food Lion store to get the employees to create health code violations but the mployees wouldn’t do it. CNN was the Operation Tailwind lie where the US supposedly used Sarin gas against US defectors in Laos.
Absolutely true, Gutfeld does have to much integrity to set foot in those nasty halls. It is fun watching liberal media implode. New York Times did a realistic investigation of Platner. Now the lefties refuse to believe it. They are trying to head off a train wreck.
