Competitive female equestrians are the most vicious and vindictive women you will ever meet. Whether rodeo or steeplechase.
But none of them would ever stab a horse. That's beyond the pale.
My aunt is a big time horse person (or nut if you ask others) and pretty sane and grounded person.

You have to be slightly insane to get your dripping wet 100 pound body on the back of a 1,100 pound horse and command it around with gentle nudges, tugs and soft verbal commands.
