Modern day gun control disproportionately affects mostly Republican leanimg contituencies and Democrats know it. Democrats want Republicans disarmed for a Night of the Broken Glass type event.
I would never recommend people buy 80% build kits and make them at home. Because if people did that the government would have no idea who has them. And that’s really reall bad for the government.
