hive societies can go on for centuries and ours not so much. But I would rather live in a nation of individuals, free-thinkers who burn the candle in a great flash and accomplish the impossible. My people were destined to be a spacefaring people.
Mexico city is one of the largest cities in the world. Is that a great accomplishment? No It is sh&$. It limps along. I wouldn’t want to ,” live” there. Surviving for thousands of years isn’t greatness. Greatness is greatness.

We were talking about China and you shifted to Mexico???

Those are different cultures. Chinese may be Confucian influenced but Mexico isn’t

And “my people were destined to be a space faring people “

You do realize that

1. Rockets exist because China invented gunpowder and rocketry in the 900s, right?

2. Germans were culturally different when Von Braun came over for rocket development?

Cuoture matters slightly more than genetics (note I’m nit saying genetics influence is zero, just that it is not paramount)

Have you been to the old city centre of Mexico?

I was there years ago in a two day trip. The historical city centre us quite beautiful.

It isn’t even a thousand years old though, I think it’s younger than oxford or Nalanda.
