How many American Americans have Native American blood in them? Answer: At least 10 million that readily acknowledge it, but probably about double or triple that number. You wouldn't know it because most of them have names like James McDonald or Michele Johnson.
Hispanic immigrants readily intermarry with the native population after one or two generations, just like the Italians did. As long as there isn't a constant spigot of mass immigration from Latin countries, those folks readily assimilate.

I'm not talking about trace amounts of Amerindian ancestry - i.e. someones great or great-great grandparent. Most Mexican and Central American immigrants (illegal and legal) are from the poor Mestizo classes who have more Amerindian than Spanish ancestry.
