A long time ago I went through all of my 5-1/4” floppies and archived them (and I still have the floppies, and an old tower PC that can read them). I wonder if I still have it somewhere.
The fonts were HP PCL soft fonts, because we had a LaserJet II.
Yep! Mid-80's LaserJet II was an awesome machine. I had the good fortune to "liberate" one from a nearby university facility when they were upgrading; it was worth something like $2500 back then. PCL fonts, yes. Good times, good times.
I've long since tossed all my old diskettes (8", 5-1/4") as they became unreadable. The 8" single-side were for my Shugart drives that fed my wirewrapped homebrew 6809 home computer. Designed and built the interfaces and DRAM (MOSTek ceramic 4164) memory and controller too. It ran Flex09 from TSC. Later converted to 5-1/4". I've probably got some 3.5" in a drawer somewhere but even they became obsolete.
Thanks for the flashback! :-)
