The $50, $75, and $100 cars I went through during my teens in Texas with the bald tires and junk used tire replacements would never make it in today’s America, but most if not all of those old cars would hit between 115 and 120 and deliver some off ground flying on the small rise I used to hit at those speeds when we would go out to that country road outside of Houston.
