Well, yes... I guess I do have to remember that in a divorce, the woman usually ends up with the kids, and so many men don't even want to raise their own children, it does make sense that they might not want to help raise someone else's.

Men definitely do not want to raise another man's children. Part of it is also age.....after several years of marriage she's may well have aged well out of her peak years. Another potential negative is that most people who have not been married would prefer it not be their partner's 2nd go around. All of those kids, age, experience, would be negatives in the dating market.
