A Virginia waiter has been canned after giving a couple a receipt calling them the N-word.
The horrified customers were celebrating their anniversary at the Crazy Crab in Fairfax on Saturday when their receipt had the racial slur typed at the bottom next to the phrase “poquito poquito,” Spanish for “a little bit,” they told Fox 5 DC.
The female diner said she was “shocked and in disbelief” upon making the vile discovery.
“I really could not process what was happening in that heat of the moment,” she told the outlet, speaking anonymously and noting that she and her partner are Vietnamese and Hispanic.
“It was just shocking and upsetting. I’m very angry with the situation overall.”
The diner claimed the waiter and restaurant management initially brushed off the incident when she confronted them about it.
After no action was taken, the woman’s best friend posted the troubling receipt online — prompting management to finally fire the employee, who had only recently immigrated to the US from Asia, the outlet said.
“I’ve been to this Crazy Crab multiple times,” the victim’s friend, Soncerae Long, told the outlet.
“I’ve recommended this place to my friends. I’ve taken my mom. It’s just disappointing.”

Looking for a big payday.
A word used hundreds of times a day by them is somehow incredibly offensive when spoken by anyone who is not black. Make it make sense! It’s a bad word or it isn’t. Blacks use that term way more than whites ever did.

The server is Asian and the two customers state they are hispanic and vietnamese!

Although not Fairfax, I was born in Va.....left at the tender age of 7 and have never had a desire to ever go back.
Someone did not want to pay their bill. Just where in the restaurant could the waiter have added that word (the article reads the word was typed) I can’t figure that out.
My cynical side (aka dominant) wonders if this couple has a pre printed stamp they use for just such “Wow this bill is high” occasions.
Otherwise the waiter removed the receipt from the register. Went back to an office that had a typewriter in it. Scrolled the receipt into the machine typed the word then returned to the table all the while without anyone noticing he was not working his section. Did he tell them he had to refill sauce bottles? He then gave the receipt to the couple hoping they would not mention the comment on the receipt. Making him not just racist but really stupid. But I repeat myself.
Why would an Asian use a racial slur against another Asian? Unless the waiter knew just what the Asian person’s ethnic background was it seems a rather pointless thing to do.
Could be like rappers calling each other the “N” word but I am not sure that is part of Vietnamese or other Asian cultures.
A lot of assumptions there.
