not related ot these fellas, but here is a bit about roger’s rangers who operated out of lake george, ticondaroga n i beleive- back during french indian wars. There;s a ton of stuff that metal detectors find there- some really interesting info

I love that history in NYS. I grew up near Buffalo,and we visited Old Fort Niagara often. When we vacationed in the Adirondacks it was Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Lake Champlain, etc.
