The real problem is the thousands of small to moderate investors who are not investing private capital in the high tax, regulation heavy, hostile to capitalism socialist governed urban enclaves like Mamdani’s NYC. Without constant new investment , an entity declines and rots. Mamdani’s only real hope is that the Democrats ride the backlash of the Iran war to national power in ‘26 and ‘28.
