I’ve come to believe they dont really care about losing money,there is no other explanation for repeatedly doing this over and over and losing money each time.

My theory is that no one wants to take a stand at the meetings.
Image a meeting of 8 executives. 7 are reasonable people. 1 is a woke lunatic. The woke lunatic proposes something really crazy. The others are afraid to object because no one wants to be called a racist and/or a hater.

They put out enough popular junk that they are rolling in it.
This allows them to systematically roll through all of Western culture and pre-woke classics and trash them. Notice the “failed” people never get canned.

They don’t care. Years ago someone listed all the movies that made money in a decade. Studios knew what they were. They would green-light crap movies that they wanted to make anyway.
And when they lose $$$, it is, of course........... Yes............ Racism!
I wonder if the billionaires are holding Disney stock as a form of developing their agenda so they view it as an advertising expense. If si, Disney doesn’t have to worry about making a profit.
I would add that this started with the auteur director fetish in the 70s after the old studio system was abolished. That's when we started getting movies made to satisfy the anti-bourgeois sentiments of directors and critics and not the audiences. But those directors had not yet reached the current stage of cultural depravity and vandalism.
