When Louisiana complied by manufacturing a monstrosity of a district stretching 250 miles to randomly scoop up black voters, it got sued again — this time, for taking race too much into account — and that case made it to the Supreme Court. It is a sign of how weak the Jackson dissent is that neither of the other progressives joined it, not even Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
Never let a weak argument get in the way of a naked power grab.

She’s not destroying anything.
She is pushing Gorsuch, ACB, and Kegger even further to the right, ensuring 6-3 decisions on all key cases.
That said-—and I predicted this for over a year-—we will lose the Birthright Citizenship case. Zen Master, Robert Barnes, many others sympathetic to overturning say the legal reasoning has to go back to England and that the justices won’t go there.
On the tariff decision, Kegger cleverly outlined three different legal approaches that (he suggests) the Court will accept on tariffs.
Aside from that, the Court has been astoundingly good.
