The Trump administration on Friday released a batch of "never-before-seen" files and videos on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP) as part of an effort to increase transparency on government knowledge of extraterrestrial phenomena.
"The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place – no clearance required. While past administrations sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Trump is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files," the White House said in a statement to Fox News.
The release is a function of President Donald Trump's Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) program.

In February, after former President Barack Obama told a podcaster that aliens were real, Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Trump directly about the existence of aliens.
"He gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that," Trump said of Obama. "I don’t know if they’re real or not. I can tell you, he gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that – he made a big mistake. He took it out of classified information."
Days later, Trump announced in a Truth Social post that he would be declassifying files related to the subject.

Numerous agency heads commented on the release, calling it an unprecedented step in transparency.
"The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena," Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said.

AI tools can go through tons of documentation and summarize it in a matter of minutes.
“AI tools can go through tons of documentation and summarize it in a matter of minutes.”
Yep. The more specific the prompts the better the result.
Evolution is a fact, and it can be clearly demonstrated. God was very clever when he designed self-adapting organisms.
On the other hand, I pretty sure evolution doesn't go as far as the monkey derivatives think it does.
IF it is true that aliens exist and the government has covered up that existence for decades, there will be enormous social, legal, and technological fallout.
The level of trust in government is already low. Revelations of the government outright lying, blatantly, and to the detriment of American citizens, could be devastating.
It seems likely that the government used military contractors to do most of the research into retrieved craft and materials to avoid FOIA requests. If so, they enriched those companies to the detriment of their competitors...which would be the basis of a huge lawsuit.
While there has been chatter about it recently, over the past 75 years or so there have been dozens if not hundreds of questionable deaths and disappearances that would have to be explained.
Not to go even deeper into the woooo, but there are accusations that our government made agreements with NHBEs to let them kidnap and experiment upon citizens in return for technology. If true, the lawsuits would be legion.
So why the drip...drip...drip? It isn’t to get us used to the idea, it is to mitigate the anger.
“So why the drip...drip...drip? It isn’t to get us used to the idea, it is to mitigate the anger.”
Yeah just might be politics in play. I suspect Trump and others want to appear to be doing something when the government may in fact not have anything of substance to provide on the matter of UFOs. Lots of sightings and data but thus far no smoking gun.
In fact I hope that remains the case. Any intelligent creatures that would go to the trouble and expense of traveling here would likely be up to no good.
Here is one ChatGPT attempt to summarize some of the files. Note that one can add further specific prompts as I did about Roswell way down the thread.

I have been saying for years about how pissed off the general public would be standing in line to climb onto a tube to fly six hours to a destination—when zero point, frictionless transportation is available. And speaking of zero point energy…when can we get that in our cars?
Yes…the average UFO enthusiast doesn’t think through all of the ramifications of the technology.
I guess it would help my Lockeed Martine /Northrup Grumman stocks.Ha Ha.
All I see is a blank chatgpt page asking me to log in.
Evolution and adaptation are not the same.
Iron Maiden's song was better than the TV show.
“I believed in aliens until the government started saying they were real.”
That happened to me as well.
It is the rule of opposites.
When official sources say X then the opposite of X is probably closer to the truth.
No, sorry. Nothing has ever changed from one thing into another thing. Evolution is nothing but a theory based in Godlessness.
I guess you have to have a ChatGPT login. I’ve had one since it came out and its low maintenance to get one. If you don’t want one then just ignore the post. Sorry.
Pretty long. Here is some of it pertaining to Roswell.
“Roswell Is NOT the Central Focus of the Archive
One of the biggest surprises is that:
Roswell is not treated in the files as the defining UFO event it later became culturally.
That’s historically important.
In the immediate post-1947 documents:
the government was far more focused on:
widespread aerial sightings,
radar anomalies,
national defense,
Soviet technological concerns,
and intelligence uncertainty.
Roswell later became iconic largely because of:
media amplification,
UFO researchers,
conspiracy culture,
and retrospective reinterpretation in the 1970s–1990s.
The early files themselves do not revolve around Roswell.
The Files DO Confirm Serious Internal Concern in 1947–1949
While the archive does not contain:
alien autopsies,
recovered spacecraft analyses,
or explicit extraterrestrial admissions,
it DOES contain documents proving:
the military considered unidentified aerial phenomena operationally real and important.
This context is critical for understanding Roswell historically.
The strongest examples include:
the 1947 Twining Memo
“The phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious.”
the 1949 Air Force “Unconventional Aircraft” memorandum establishing formal UFO investigative procedures,
and repeated FBI/Air Force coordination regarding flying disc reports.
These documents show:
the government was genuinely concerned about unexplained aerial phenomena during the exact period Roswell occurred.
The Roswell Narrative Fits the Cold War Context Revealed by the Files
The expanded archive strongly supports a broader interpretation of Roswell:
The U.S. government in 1947 was terrified of:
technological surprise,
Soviet reconnaissance,
advanced aircraft,
and intelligence vulnerabilities.
That context matters enormously.
The archive repeatedly frames UFOs as:
potential aerospace threats,
not necessarily extraterrestrials.
This aligns historically with later official explanations involving:
classified balloon systems,
surveillance programs,
and military secrecy.
The “Weather Balloon” Explanation Appears Repeatedly Across the Archive
Thank you!
Refer thyself to the fruit-fly studies. I am fully aware of the difference.
Yeah, I fully agree.

More ‘spots’ and ‘dots’ whirling around.... ho hum.
That’s what I thought. I saw a couple of interesting videos in the data drop, but mostly just dots and blips.
