LWLG has produced a polymer material that can be incorporated in existing silcon wafer fabrication facilities to produce modulators (modem/router) that use 40 to 60% less power without the need for onboard chip cooling (Will not require water cooling). Polariton was purchased by Marvell which has a strategic partnership with Nividia (A $2 billion dollar investment by Nividia...) Polariton produced a modulator that operated in the Terabyte range without substantial phase drift. (Rather important!)

"On April 22, Marvell (Semi conductor foundry ) announced it acquired Polariton Technologies, a developer of high-speed, low-power plasmonics-based silicon photonics devices. The company said it will strengthen its optical technology portfolio. Financial terms were not disclosed.

In fact, these teams explicitly stated that "their testing equipment (the scopes and probes) actually failed before the material did."
