SSRIs are the current big pharma hook. The amount of women on them, especially young ones skyrockted a decade or so ago. Liberals who once thought big pharma was a problem, seem to be ok with it.

I can immediately spot people who are on SSRIs. There is something about their eyes that give it away. Before I retired I could easily spot the student who was going to be trouble for the entire 3 years. It never failed that they were on psych drugs and had been for years. For many, I believe part of their original problem was that they had never been told “no”. Instead parents or school officials just drugged them for life.

I don’t know if SSRI’s are used to treat people who are bipolar, but a good friend’s 30 year old son, who was bipolar, committed suicide the day after his dad took him to the pharmacy to refill his prescription.

I have taken prozac every day for the past 20 or more years. I just wish I’d had it when I was 15 years old. It has helped me.
