Spike Lee came to speak at my university back in the 1990s. His talk was completely unmemorable as it focused on the usual race-card complaints. The only memorable moment came when a young black student got up, identified himself as someone from NYC, and complained that Spike had opened up a store selling $100 sneakers in a poor black neighborhood in his area. By doing that, wasn't he making bank off of the very people he was claiming to want to help?

Spike's response? "Hey, man. That's the system we got."

He's a complete hypocrite.
