I know this article is about mental illness, but this is how the whole health care industry works. Flood the airways with disease and sickness. That way the hypochondriacs are kept feeling good. And if you are not sick, then your doctor is going to find something wrong with you just to get you on a prescription. Doctors are the biggest drug pushers in the US.
I just had a full panel run, and everything came back on the lower side of the “ideal” range except my cholesterol and triglycerides , which were slightly (~15%) over the recommended range.
I am currently taking ZERO prescriptions, but the quack instantly wanted to put me on statins. Having read about these treatments I declined, and asked her why she would immediately go to drugs rather than simple lifestyle or diet changes.
She had no answer.
People wonder why folks like me avoid doctors, well there’s one reason.
Sometimes the right prescription is, “rub some dirt on it…“.
So many mentally ill ,that aren’t, also lowers the care level. Practitioners are always treating surface level. People with real problems never get the depth of care.
Because they get incentives for prescribing RX by Pharma.
And not only are “experts” creating more problems with “helpful” campaigns, they are also making our national mental health crisis much much worse by ignoring true mental health problems like transgenderism.

Mine isn’t, in fact he prescribes nutritional supplements if WebMD says they help.
BUT then I was hospitalized with fall-in-the-floor Vertigo. Docs there decided I needed a pile of other pills, so now I allegedly take them too. The only one that may have value is Atorvastatin for cholesterol. Mine tested fine for decades, but suddenly does not now. No change in diet except that salty hospital food—they need to stop putting salt in it.
I tossed my salt shaker years ago.
