I used to play hockey in Canada. Outdoors, cold there.
I had to wear my brothers’ black skates.
Mother a widow with 4 kids.
Couldn’t afford girls skates.
I would hide my feet in a snowbank when someone I knew came by. LOL
Hey I was pretty good.
Grandson played for the Golden Knights kids skating team, he was good, like Nana.
Gandson now plays baseball, just tried out for the All-American team, fingers crossed.
His jersey number is 18, which he has always picked, Kyle Busch’s old number, he and his Papa’s favorite driver.
So SAD!!!

Hockey’s a great sport. I do not know why Cleveland never had an NHL team. Always a farm team. The Monsters are a farm team for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
