At some point a President will actually challenge the WPA. They have been saying it’s “unconstitutional” for decades now. But they play be those rules.
It’s ridiculous.
But to suggest that all of our assets running a blockade, which is usually considered an “act of war”, means the clock is paused seems a little silly.
The WPA is a pointless statute. Unless Congress actually shuts off the funding for the Dept. of Defense — which is never going to happen — the whole thing is just a stage act. There is no other enforcement mechanism written into the law.
You mean when a war is stopped, it’s no longer in operation?
