Rep. Ted Lieu drew attention during a recent congressional hearing after comments made related to Donald Trump and the Jeffrey Epstein files. At an event on February 4, 2026, Rep. Ted Lieu said, “Why are Republicans so interested in Bill and Hillary Clinton? It’s because they’re trying to distract from the fact that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files thousands and thousands of times.” He added, “In those files, there’s highly disturbing allegations of Donald Trump raping children, of Donald Trump threatening to kill children.”

The beauty of this claim is that it can NEVER be refuted. If ALL the files are released, you simply say “Of COURSE they didn’t release the files that would make Trump look bad!”. And no one can prove you wrong.
If the FBI comes out and says that you’re wrong and they released everything, you then claim that “partisans removed the Trump records, and probably burned them”.
Yes, he’s a weasel, but this is the truth of the issue.

Rest assured that if some Republican Congressman said publicly that, for example, Obama was born in Kenya or that Biden molested his daughter, and if that Congress was controlled by the Democrats, the Congressman would be censured and stripped of all privileges within a week of his statement.

The only thing that the Epstein files have shown so far is, that a bunch of teenage hookers were willing to be picked up by women, and driven to Epstein parties where they took “payouts for services” for Epstein.
The ‘survivors’(their lives were in danger?) aren’t providing other names and many want to remain anonymous, because of the “powerful man/bogeyman card” that feminist attorney Gloria Allred is using.
I wasted about an hour on this Epstein crap, reading a variety of victim statements & allegations, that all seemed written by the same law firm.

The danger of releasing the Epstein files is that they are full of “raw” accusations, that are not factual, and usually politically motivated. The accusers submit no proof, or nothing that remotely holds up under scrutiny. Yet an ass like Ted Lieu can pronounce that he read this and that in the Epstein files, and morons believe it to be the Absolute Truth.
It is curious that a mechanical engineer and computer scientist is too dense to understand the concept of facts versus mud.

The craziest part is everything Lieu says is 100% projection. Someone really needs to check his hard drives.
He might want to keep a low profile here and shut his yap. His wife and the shooter both are in the education system in Torrance. It’s not a big place overall, and the education sub-system is smaller.
It’s a 50-50 chance they know each other, and maybe the same that they conspire.
