The redistricting vote in Virginia was not only dishonest, it was unconscionable and shameless. I don't know how any democrat can look themselves in the mirror or sleep at night after the way that vote was worded.
The vote should have been worded this way :
DO YOU AGREE THAT THE REDISTRICTING PLAN PUT FORTH BY THE DEMOCRATS SHOULD BE APPROVED--GIVEN THE FACT THAT IT IS LIKELY THAT HALF THE POPULATION OF VIRGINIA WILL GET ONLY 9% REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS? THE OTHER HALF SPONSORING THIS VOTE WILL GET 91% REPRESENTATION.
YES OR NO.
I just cannot believe the wording that was actually used. It is absolutely disgusting, shameless and the vote should be voided--as no one with a straight face or half a brain could possibly think it was fair.

The reason they run so many unwatched TV ads is because the consultants get 15% of all the money spent on TV.
I worked two campaigns in Virginia. It’s accurate.
Notice how New Hampshire bent the district lines to throw a few of the border towns with Massachusetts (including the city of Nashua) in with the Northern Inland district. There are probably a lot of Democrats in those towns that the Democrats didn’t need to win the Seacoast district but that would help them out with the other district. Draw the boundaries a little differently and you’d be more likely to have one Republican district in the state.
If your eyesight is good enough, you can also see the remains of Barney Frank’s old Massachusetts district which started with his home in Boston and went down the state to New Bedford on the South Coast. It doesn’t go as far now, but the intent’s still to give Boston-area Democrats another district to run in. MA’s two Western districts are dominated by big Democrat cities Springfield and Worcester. That probably can’t be helped much now, but different district lines might give Republicans more of a chance.
As Bugs would say: He don’t know me vewy well, do he?

I tried to volunteer in 2020 to help Trump. The RNC is a mess in Virginia. I went to the session which was a little rally for other GOP office holders. Which was fine. But the training session was next door and they never announced when it was starting or those needing training to go next door so most people missed it. They were just sitting around talking crap...doing nothing meaningful (not sure how the training was as I never got to do it).
So instead I volunteered as a poll watcher.
The emails they send are nonsense...no real details or next steps to get involved. I called them up and let them know about this so they can improve...they didn’t change.
Honestly, it creates a de facto “at-large” district in most of the state that Washington gets. It’s centralising power in Washington, and one mission of the modern Left is to centralise power to their central cities that anywhere else is not worth living or having seats because the design will destroy areas outside their choice cities.
I need to defend the Old Dominion for a minute here.
If you were to continually and rapidly dump all of your family's feces, and all of your neighbors' and friends' feces, into your master bathroom toilet, it will clog and overflow. The area around your toilet will reflect this.
If the entire nation sends all of its wannabe bureaucrat deep-state loony left wing douchebags to Washington DC, it will overflow and spatter onto the surrounding states.
One-third of the population of the Commonwealth now lives within an eighteen mile radius of the Washington Monument.
Virginia has not turned blue; it has been overrun by the most power-hungry antifa-in-pantsuits looney-tunes imaginable. Be thankful that it isn't happening in your state.
