Maybe I’m being picky, but the story seems to say that in their very first week, they sentenced a guy to more than 3 years in jail.
Well, sounds good. And I like swift justice. But ... are we talking about a government team conducting an investigation, gathering evidence, scheduling a trial, reaching a verdict, and deciding on a prison sentence ... all in 1 week?
All I’m looking for is good work to reduce fraud and send bad guys to prison. I don’t need fiction.

They (theorgetically) will pay restitution of $0.9M + $1.3M + 8.7M = $11M.
Now I’m old and my arithmetic skills aren’t what they used to be, but I kind of recall 11 << 250.
Three years and seven months in prison with $240M parked somewhere waiting for you to get out. He’ll probably out in 12-18 months, too.
Good “work” if you can get it.
Color me cynical.
