The same civilization that produced the scientific method, actuarial science, and data-driven medicine now treats the act of noticing statistical trends as a moral failing — provided those trends involve race. Welcome to the cognitive dissonance Olympics, where your lying eyes are always the problem, and the scoreboard is considered hate speech.

Pattern recognition is not a political act. It is how your brain keeps you alive. Doctors diagnose disease with it. Generals anticipate attacks through it. Every competent investor in the history of capital markets has made money using it. Information theory research estimates that human senses gather roughly 11 million bits of data per second from the environment, whereas the conscious mind processes only about 50. The gap between those numbers is filled by pattern recognition running silently in the background.

Here is the question polite society has decided is too dangerous to pose: Does applying this universal cognitive faculty to demographic data constitute racism, or does refusing to examine that data constitute intellectual cowardice?

Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman, in Thinking, Fast and Slow (2011), described System 1 processing — intuitive, automatic, pattern-driven cognition operating below conscious awareness. A landmark Carnegie Mellon study demonstrated that chess grandmasters could reconstruct complex board positions from memory after five seconds of exposure because they had internalized thousands of pattern templates invisible to novices. The same dynamic operates in emergency medicine, military intelligence, and financial risk management. Pattern recognition is not bias. It is expertise.

Now let us talk about crime statistics, since that is where this conversation inevitably goes and where most commentators lose their nerve faster than a rookie quarterback in a two-minute drill. For me a big thing is the sense of a predator scanning for prey more than it is skin color. Eric Swalwell gave off predator vibes. Bill Cosby was a predator too, but more dangerous because he covered up the predator vibes. So it takes many things to spot the pattern of a criminal.

I can’t think of one single place a black person would fear going in my city. If that were the case that location would be swarmed upon by an untold number of entities, labeled racist and banished from the community.

One the other hand however, I can think of countless places I wouldn’t even think of going at any hour of the day or night for fear of bodily injury or worse, and it is viewed by society as acceptable.

Now.....who are the racists again?

What I find interesting is to juxtapose the number of white women killed by black men against all the current commercials that show a couple, and it’s always a white woman with a black man. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but I feel like we’ve been bombarded in the last few years with images of white women with black men, and at the same time... These two developments put together make me feel like I’m watching white women being deliberately fed into a meat grinder.

Rather than race, I’d like to see a study on the correlation between fatherless households and violent crime.

One problem has a solution and the other one doesn’t.

in fairness, the use of the word “adults” skews the problem further. IT is a specific age group, gender, and class/culture-driven pattern that is starkly real in the data.

Additionally not all members of a group classifiable or identifiable by melanin % and descent fall into the cohort. Many of the member of the cohort who absolve themselves from the culture, class, Godlessness and amorality are fine, crime-free citizens.

However, restricting even the mention of the reality of what I wrote in paragraph 1, is where the problem lies. Root cause is not ‘race’ or national origin. They are, unfortunately highly concentrated in the crime stats. That’s reality in data.

To me, one has to look at what created these modern ghettos wherein people ARE concentrated (by government and ‘social’ policy) by race and national origin AND are incentivized to avoid traditional values and mores, AND to deny God, and worship the State. Roll ‘victimhood’ on top of all that, and to me, therein lies the root cause. To put a name on it: Democrats or Democrat systemic racism.

Remember when companies were putting out IMB clone PCs. In order to get people to buy them, the companies would also offer a bundle of programs. One program I got years ago was a World Geography program. Well, I slapped the World Geography disc into the PC disc tray to see what it offered. I was looking at crime statistics in the Southern Maryland area and started to notice that in locals that had a significant black population, the higher the crime rate. So I started looking at cities and town across the United States. Low and behold, the same thing showed up. The higher the clack population, the higher the crime rate. One can now go on Wikipedia and see the same thing from town to town across the United States. Another stat showed up. For the most part, where a town, city, or state is controlled by Democrats, the higher the crime rate.

Now call me a racist for noticing the numbers.
