Imagine being an E5 or E6 and trying to order some former blue-haired Antifa type to go execute a task. "F*** YOU SARGE! I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!"
These people would be toxic to morale and flat out dangerous to be around.
And yes, I know many draftees served with honor and courage in the past. But let's be honest, that was a different America.

We use to have a permanent draft and it worked fine from 1940 through 1973 without interruption, the drill sergeants, including the ones who started out as draftees themselves managed to teach the recruits.
If our drill sergeants can’t handle the eternal scared young males with brains full of mush that armies have handled from the beginning of time, then something else is wrong in the military.
