The contractor took out my really nice heavy full porcelain toilet with heavy wooden seat and replaced it with a jakey little thing with a flimsy plastic seat that actually wiggles around when I sit down.

I still have the old one they put out in the yard.

Is it possible for me to switch them by myself?

I know about turning off the water and getting a new wax seal.

Is there any other catch to it?

I really hate that cheap piece of junk.

😑

“a new wax seal”

In Florida, I found that the wax will go soft and the connection will leak.

I now use a compressed foam seal and it works.
