California has a new scheme. They tax the S**T out of your house if it is far away from the city. It's a penalty for daring to live away from the squalor of big cities and is directly tied to the distance that you would need to drive to those cities. It's a double penalty because you are going to be hit with gasoline taxes and vehicle mileage taxes on top of this new, imaginary vehicle mileage tax on your shelter. It is assessed even if you don't own a vehicle.

They've been working on that real estate racket for fifteen to twenty years. I predicted it in my first book, Natural Process, 25 years ago, described as "The Squeeze," as incorporated into planning processes in the mid 90s pursuant to the UN Agenda 21.
